Tips from 3M Application Engineers
Standard Abrasives™ Light Deburring Convolute Bun should run at recommended operating speeds, using low to medium pressure, and in the direction of the arrow imprinted on the wheel. The use of lubricants will aid the running temperature, keeping the abrasive cool and free of any debris. The wheel may be used on straight shaft stationary and portable tools, feed-through machines and automated equipment.
Open Web Abrasives Renew on Contact
The open web on the Standard Abrasives™ Light Deburring Convolute Bun combines non-woven fibers and silicon carbide to form an open web construction. This open web shows during surface application, as the wheel abrades the substrate, resulting in a constant exposure of new, sharp webs for a consistent cut. Additionally, gaps between the fibers allow for swarf to escape, so the web does not get clogged with debris, prolonging abrasive life cycle.
