For internal diameters that require increased coverage over a cross pad, the Standard Abrasives™ Aluminum Oxide Overlap Disc is a good option. The overlapping construction makes the disc flexible so that the operator can push it into a hole or tube and achieve full contact with internal diameters. Discs with four layers achieve abrasive action in both push and pull directions.

Aluminum oxide discs are a good match for operators who desire an all-purpose versatility and economy. The mineral cuts fast while blending and deburring and is a good choice for applications on many substrates including ferrous metals, rubber, plastic and composites.

For the convenience of tool-free disc changes, overlap discs have a threaded eyelet arbor hole that screws onto a mandrel and is secured by hand with an attachment bolt (both available separately). A shorter mandrel allows for a steadier application, while a mandrel with extended reach allows access deeper into pipe interiors. Compatible threaded Standard Abrasives™ Mandrels are available separately with thread sizes of 8-32, 3-48, and 1/4-20. An extended version is available with 8-32 threads.
