Scotch® Solvent Resistant Masking Tape 226 is a black polyethylene film laminated over saturated crepe paper that has excellent resistance against a wide range of damaging chemicals. The polyethylene backing is resistant to many solvents, water solutions and emulsions and paint strippers of the wax-base type and the mild caustic solution solvent-emulsion type.

Scotch® Solvent Resistant Masking Tape 226 is a black polyethylene film laminated over saturated crepe paper that has excellent resistance against weathering and a wide range of damaging chemicals, solvents, water solutions, emulsions, and paint-strippers. The backing also features controlled stretch and tear to provide excellent handling and performance. In conjunction with natural rubber adhesive, this tape offers a fast bond, good holding power, and clean removal. Ideal for industrial painting, it can withstand bake temperatures up to 225 °F (107 °C) for 30 minutes. Such heat-resistance, adhesive strength, and solvent-resistance prepare Scotch® Solvent Resistant Masking Tape 226 for protecting surfaces across demanding industries.
