Scotch® Rubber Mastic Tape 2228 consisting of an ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) backing coated with an aggressive, temperature-stable mastic adhesive on a liner. Designed for electrical insulating and moisture sealing, intended for both indoor and weather exposed outdoor applications including resistance to UV exposure.
- Is a UL recognized component for applications up to 130°C (266°F)
- Primary electrical insulation for cable and wire connections and vibration padding for motor leads rated up to 1000 volts
- Thick construction allows quick application build–up and padding over irregular connections
- Applicable over a temperature range of 32 to 100°F (0 to 38°C) without loss of physical properties
- RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant
