Scotch Rubber Mastic Tape 2228 is a 65-mil thick, conformable self-fusing rubber electrical insulating and sealing tape consisting of an ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) backing coated with an aggressive, temperature-stable mastic adhesive. This tape is intended for both indoor and weather-exposed outdoor applications, providing resistance to UV exposure.
- This self-fusing tape is compatible with solid dielectric cable insulations
- Designed for use as Primary electrical insulating for cable and wire connections up to 1000 volts and moisture sealing of connections
- Intend for both indoor and weather exposed outdoor applications including UV exposure
- This thick tape allows quick application build–up and padding over irregular connections
- Excellent adhesion and sealing characteristics with copper, aluminum and power

- UL recognized component for applications up to 130?C and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant
