Scotch® Tape 31 is a 60 mil thick, premium grade, MSHA approved, heavy duty mining tape. This flexible tape provides resistance to abrasion, water and oil. It has an aggressive, abrasion resistant, rubber backing that is ideal for splicing and repairing jackets on mining cables. It withstands a wide temperature range of 32 to 221 °F (0 to 105 °C).

Repair cables quickly to keep installations running with this Scotch® Heavy-Duty Tape 31. It has a mastic sealant to produce an airtight seal for quality bonding that prevents moisture from damaging your application, and its self-healing property absorbs minor damage. It's flame retardant to protect against electrical fires, and it has a rubber backing to protect against nicks and abrasions cables suffer during everyday use. This tape is RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant and MSHA Approved for use in applications such as repairing general cables and outer jackets of mining cable splice kits.
