Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ Unitized Wheel Pack 988S, 3 in, 5 ea/Case

Manufactured with compressed, non-woven fiber construction and uniform grain distribution, the wheels in the Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ EXL Unitized Wheel Pack 988S produce consistent, professional results for weld polishing, deburring aircraft parts, and blending and finishing on a variety of metals, plastics and composites. Made with premium abrasive mineral, EXL wheels take on challenging surfaces while reducing the need for rework or additional finishing steps.

EXL material in the higher densities can be extremely tough, delivering aggressive cutting power for effective deburring of edges and corners. The lower densities are soft and conformable and work well for finishing contoured surfaces. These EXL wheels remove burrs without gouging or marring the work surface, leave a clean edge, and produce consistent results. The open-web construction also minimizes heat buildup during operation, making the wheels ideal for use on heat sensitive materials.

This versatile wheel pack includes five 3" Roloc quick-change wheels in a range of densities and grades, along with the backup pad needed for convenient attachment to a right angle tool or die grinder. Soft 2 density wheels offer conformability and flexibility for finishing flat, contoured, or irregular surfaces. Hard densities 6-8 offer strong edge retention to help maintain consistent shape and maximum cutting action. The pack includes wheels in three grades: Medium/Course (aluminum oxide), and Fine (silicon carbide).

3M™ Roloc™ TR quick change wheels and discs have diameters 3" and smaller and feature a plastic threaded button designed to easily and quickly screw onto a Roloc™ holder (included) so that operators can conveniently change wheels or discs with a simple twist-off, twist-on motion. The Roloc TR system provides a secure attachment even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of available 3M Roloc products allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds.
