Rotating at speeds of up to 200 MPH (320 kph), wind turbine blades consistently encounter an array of environmental factors – including rain, sand, hail, and salt spray – which can cause significant damage that is both expensive to repair and reduces the blades' aerodynamic and power generating efficiency. 3M Wind Protection Tape's uniform construction enables faster, more consistent LEP installations in both OEM and field applications. The durable material provides long-lasting protection that helps reduce blade maintenance costs and helps keep wind turbines generating at peak performance.
