3M™ Welding and Spark Deflection Paper helps protect vertical surfaces from welding spatter and grinding sparks to help avoid costly and unnecessary repairs. This flame retardant product is perfect for collision repair and replacement panel templating, as well as general industrial equipment jobs.
The 24-inch-wide paper is easy to cut; just trim it to the size needed. Plus, the adhesive backing sticks to both smooth and rounded surfaces, such as automotive glass, light fixtures, and painted sheet metal. The adhesive allows the paper to be repositioned for precise placement.
Please note: This product doesn't prevent heat transfer from sparks or spatter sitting in a single position. It is not designed for horizontal surfaces like roofs, deck lids, hoods, carpeting, or floorboards. 3M™ High-Performance Welding Drape (05919) is a better choice for those situations.
