3M™ Scotchrap™ Tape 51 is a premium grade, 20 mil thick, all weather tape with PVC backing. It withstands temperatures of 55 to 176 °F ( 48 to 80 °C) and resists abrasion and punctures. This printed, high tack, adhesive tape is corrosion and impact resistant, making it suitable for use on metal piping systems, conduits and fittings both above and below ground.

3M Scotchrap Vinyl Corrosion Protection Tape 51 is a 20-mil thick, all-weather, PVC-based protective tape with a special high-tack adhesive formulated to resist corrosion of metal piping systems above and below ground, and fittings and joints on all mill-coated pipe and electrical conduit systems. This tape is resistant to exposure to outdoor weathering, including sunlight, and to impact, abrasion, punctures and tears.
- Resistant to corrosive salt water, soil acids, alkalies, salts, common chemicals, and chemical vapors
- Conformable 20-mil, all-weather tape designed for a wide temperature range, -55F to 176F (-48C to 80C)
- Tough polyvinyl chloride-based tape with high tack adhesives formulated for metal piping and electrical conduit systems
- Resistant to impact, abrasions, punctures, and tears and easy to apply without special tools or dangerous flames
- Can be used with 3M Scotchrap Pipe Primer and 3M Scotchfil Electrical Insulation Putty
