The 3M™ CBN Wheel 164PK line is specifically designed for the production and re-sharpening of high speed steel and tool steels cutting tools. The wheel used to generate the flute which is the helical or straight groove in the body of the tool. This process requires the highest level of quality that the 3M™ CBN Wheel 164PK provides.

The 3M™ CBN Wheel 164PK line uses a polyimide bond system which offers increased thermal stability compared to the phenolic resin bond systems. This allows 164PK to grind at higher cut rates and maintain form under higher temperature grinding conditions where phenolic resin bond systems undergo thermal and chemical deterioration.
