This flame retardant tape is suitable for use in applications that require thin insulating material for wrapping transformers, capacitors and wire harnesses. This tape withstands a temperature range of -40°C to 155°C (-40 to 311 °F) without the loss of electrical properties and tensile strength.

3M™ Polyimide Film Electrical Tape 1205 is an amber, UL listed tape, ideal for electrical tasks like printed circuit board assembly, and wrapping coils, capacitors, wire harnesses, transformers and anchoring leads.
This strong, 3.2-mil thick tape is flame-retardant and non-corrosive, thanks to its 1-mil polyimide film backing on one side, coated with an acrylic adhesive. This easy-to-use electrical tape features a pressure-sensitive adhesive that does not require heat, preparation or moisture before application. It's used for continuous operation not exceeding 155 °C (311 °F) per UL listing.
