3M™ Plasticizer Resistant Hook Fastener SJ3522 is a better performance acrylic-based hook fastener with a 3.5 mil (0.08 mm) polyolefin film liner. It is an attachment alternative to a wide variety of closures, including zippers, screws, snaps, hooks and more. This fastener is covered with flexible J-shaped hooks, about 300 hooks per square inch (46 hooks/square cm.), which protrude up from a woven backing. Commonly paired with 3M™ Plasticizer Resistant Loop Fastener SJ3523 this hook fastener can also engage with other 3M™ Loop Fasteners. To ensure stability and flatness, both the hook and the corresponding loop are preshrunk.

Plasticizer Resistant Acrylic Adhesive

The backing of 3M™ Plasticizer Resistant Hook Fastener SJ3522 is coated with a plasticizer resistant acrylic-based pressure sensitive adhesive. This adhesive strength builds up over time allowing for some repositionability before achieving full bond strength. The adhesive is designed specifically for use with flexible vinyls and will resist many plasticizers. It boasts good temperature and moisture resistance as well as UV stability and great shear strength.
