A Tape with Versatility

3M™ Performance Plus Duct Tape 8979N is used today in a variety of maintenance, repair and construction settings in industries sensitive to detrimental materials. This tape complies with leachable halides and sulfur. Each lot is tested, and a certificate of analysis is included in each carton. Additionally, our Performance Plus Duct Tape 8979N has been tested in accordance with UL723, ASTM E84. Due to its ability to remove cleanly, it is an excellent choice for containment operations, where it provides a tight seal for attaching poly draping and closing cuffs. Available in distinctive red and slate blue colors to enhance visibility as well as utility. It is primarily used in nuclear power plants, ship building, and steel fabrication industries. The tape can be used at temperatures as high as 200°F for up to 30 minutes.

This family of rugged cloth and duct tapes adheres to most surfaces for applications ranging from bundling to moisture proofing, sealing to splicing, reinforcing to hanging poly drapes.
