Match OEM Appearances

This professional-quality black seam sealer can be used to seal vertical or horizontal seams on automotive surfaces primed with a 2K urethane, 2K epoxy primer, or clean, sanded paint. Its non-flowing, heavy-bodied formula allows technicians to texturize the seam to match OEM seam sealer appearances and duplicate OEM beads.

Durable, Fast-Cure Formula Creates a High Quality Seal

The flexible formula works within a wide range of temperatures with no shrinking or cracking to achieve strong, durable construction. It offers a fast setup time of 6 minutes, decreasing downtime and allowing technicians to continue repair procedures quicker, increasing productivity. Moreover, the fast-cure formula means there is a limited time of uncured product on the car and the risk of damaging the seam by disturbing uncured seam sealer is greatly reduced. This enables technicians to quickly achieve a long-lasting, high quality seam seal.

Using the Seam Sealer Effectively

3M™ Heavy-Bodied Seam Sealer for DMS (PN 58308) comes in a kit that includes a 600 mL cartridge, two "purple" mixing nozzles (PN 55847, also available in boxes) and an extension tube for attaching an OEM tip to the mixing nozzle. The 600 mL cartridges fit into the 3M™ Dynamic Mixing Applicator – Pneumatic (PN 05846).

3M™ Heavy-Bodied Seam Sealer in 200 mL cartridges (PN 08308) can be used with the following 3M™ Applicators: PN 08117 (manual), PN 08571 (manual), and PN 09930 (pneumatic) Also use the 3M™ Mix Nozzle: PN 08193 (6/bag), PN 8194 (50/box).

For either product, choose from 3M™ OEM Seam Sealer Tips PNs 08201, 08202, 08203, 08204, or 08205.
