In addition, it has a non-woven tissue carrier with a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive that offers a balance of high initial adhesion and good holding power. It offers excellent temperature performance in various applications. When it comes to longevity, this tape will perform well up to 300°F/149°C in the short term, and up to 260°F/127°C for days or weeks. Results may vary depending on machine and web tensions, line speeds, nature of paper surface and application pressure. It adheres well to kraft and coated papers, and is commonly used for high performance splicing on paper, films and other continuous web processes. Notably, this product is offered in two colors – clear and red. The red version can be used for visible splicing applications.

What is Double Coated Tape?
In general, double coated tape is composed of a paper, film, or tissue carrier that is coated on both sides with pressure sensitive adhesive. The adhesive is protected by a peel-away liner that can be removed at the time of application or left in place until the joining surfaces are ready to be attached. These tapes can be applied by hand or with a dispenser. Double coated tape dispensers are available in a variety of configurations ranging from manual to fully automatic. Applications for double coated tape are found in web processing, construction, fabrication, arts and hobby.
