The 3M™ Disc Back-up Pad Mounting Kit is designed to mount the one-piece Disc Pad Face Plate to most standard angle grinders. Each kit includes a Retainer Nut and two sizes of Wheel Spacers. Some tools may need additional spacers to ensure a proper fit.

This kit ensures a proper fit between your angle grinder and the 3M™ Disc Back-up Pad. When you combine this upgraded disc back-up pad with 3M™ Cubitron™ II Fibre Discs or select Scotch-Brite™ Abrasives, and a 3M™ Angle Grinder, you’re setting yourself up for a new level of productivity. When used together, the effectiveness of each component is enhanced to provide optimal abrasive performance — including abrasive life, cut-rate and consistency.
- Mounting kit for one-piece disc pad face plate
- Gives the user the ability to adjust the face plate height to ensure a proper fit with most tools
- Retainer Nut in this kit is required for use with new 3M™ Angle Grinders and Sanders
- Spacers in this kit are not required for use with new 3M™ Angle Grinders and Sanders, but may be required for other tool manufacturers and sizes
- Includes Retainer Nut (part number 02618), 3/16” Wheel Spacer and two 1/8” Wheel Spacers
