Designed for grinding and polishing, the 3M™ Diamond Polishing PSA Cloth Sheet 656WY can tackle tough materials like ceramics, tungsten and chrome carbides and composites. In 1,800, 3,000, 8,000 and 50,000 mesh grades, it is used for a variety of finishes required on applications such as thermal spray coating during the refurbishment process. The flexible, J-weight cloth provides a durable, consistent backing for a variety of applications.

This product is designed with diamond particles encapsulated in a ceramic bead and resin- bonded to a cloth backing, which helps these products be both cost-effective and long lasting.

Achieve optimum results when you use this diamond abrasive sheet with a coolant. Coolant is a desirable component of diamond polishing, since it efficiently cools both the work and the abrasive. Additionally, coolant removes swarf and prolongs abrasive life.

3M designed this diamond abrasive cloth sheet with a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) to make for easy and secure tool attachment. The PSA backing adheres like a sticker, so operators can secure the abrasive to a tool by applying light pressure. Swift tool attachment helps enhance productivity and throughput.
