Designed for grinding and polishing, the 3M™ Diamond Polishing PSA Cloth Disc 656WY can tackle tough materials like ceramics, tungsten and chrome carbides and composites. In 3,000, 8,000 and 50,000 mesh grades, a wide range of surface finishes are achievable on various different hard to grind substrates and applications. The flexible, J-weight cloth provides a durable, consistent backing for polishing on and around contoured surfaces.

Achieve optimum results when you use this diamond abrasive disc with a coolant. Coolant is a desirable component of diamond polishing, since it efficiently cools both the work and the abrasive. Additionally, coolant will remove swarf and prolong abrasive life.

3M designed this diamond abrasive disc with a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) to make tool attachment swift and easy. The PSA backing adheres like a sticker, so operators can secure the abrasive to a tool by applying light pressure. Swift tool attachment helps enhance productivity and throughput.

The 3M™ Diamond Polishing PSA Cloth Disc 656WY is used on hard-to-finish materials, including thermal spray parts, ceramics, composites, HVOF coatings, chilled iron and non-ferrous metal.
