3M™ Cloth Belt 900DZ is best suited for sanding and finishing on a wide variety of substrates thanks to its durability and fast cutting abrasive material. Its flexible, J-weight cloth backing provides smooth operation and durability and can conform to the shape of contoured parts for consistent finishing. The abrasive side features an open coat of grains for aggressive finishing.

3M™ Cloth Belt 900DZ is engineered using 3M™ Ceramic Grain, which is designed to cut fast and handle intense heat and stress applications. Ceramic grain surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability and makes the 900DZ belt an excellent choice for sanding and finishing.

This belt also uses a resin bonding that is specially designed to resist thermal deterioration, which can occur during sanding. This bond is very tough and excellent for precision work on many substrates. 3M™ Cloth Belt 900DZ also features an anti-static treatment and open coat construction. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are placed with space between them to help evacuate swarf (sanding residue) and other sanding debris, and avoid clogging the cutting edge of the grains. This allows the abrasive mineral to continue cutting, even when sanding materials that would otherwise clog the grain and hinder sanding ability.
