The open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat mineral of the same grade, and the load-resistant coating reduces clogging. Here's how it works: open coat construction means the abrasive grains are placed with space between them to help evacuate sanding debris, which prevents clogging the cutting edge of the grains.

This cloth roll uses revolutionary precision shaped ceramic grain that slices cleanly through wood, rather than gouging or plowing as traditional abrasives do. This creates a super-fast cut and lessens heat build-up in the work piece.
