3M designed 3M™ Cubitron™ II Cloth Disc 984F as an abrasive cloth disc with 3M™ Precision Shaped Grain (PSG), which continuously fractures into sharp points for an exceptionally fast cut. This abrasive grain is constructed on a tough, YF-weight, polyester cloth backing and features a grinding aid ideal for medium-to-high pressure applications. In addition, the precision shaped grain requires less pressure, easing the application process for the operator. The abrasive minerals are resin-bonded to the backing for heat resistance, which allows the abrasive to run cool and reduce metal discoloration, oxidation and risk of stress cracks.
