The durable backing is designed to withstand aggressive sanding and grinding as well as features an anti-friction coating that helps the abrasive run smooth, reducing premature wear of platens that remain static while grinding. 3M also constructed this cloth roll with a grinding aid, an added coating that helps the abrasive stay cool during grinding, in order to minimize heat and improve overall performance.
