3M™ AccuGlide™ V HSP Taping Head is designed for high-speed tape application that uses low-impact motion to seal cases with minimum force. It can apply Scotch® Box Sealing Tape at up to 150 fpm while maintaining quality tape application. This taping head is designed for sealing under-filled boxes without compromising tape adhesion.
The 3M AccuGlide V HSP Taping Head is designed to perform high-speed taping applications with a low-impact motion to protect both cartons and contents while offering belt speeds up to 150 feet per minute. This taping head maintains high-quality seal consistency and is an ideal solution to handle the packaging challenges associated with under and overfilled boxes. It is highly durable and built to withstand demanding conditions, such as moisture-prone environments. Accurate tape alignment is achieved thanks to its drum latch, which provides stability, and brake drum, which controls tape tension to deliver a dependable, seamless result. Excellent tape alignment is achieved with the design feature of a drum latch to provide stability in taping applications. Adding to its performance, the 3M AccuGlide V HSP Taping Head is built with middle and rear brushes that give optimal wipe-down force and uniform pressure output, as well as an internal mechanism to stabilize and keep the tape roll aligned. Helping to increase and improve throughput, the 3M AccuGlide V HSP Taping Head provides a seamless application that protects the integrity of the carton and seal. In the taping process, Scotch box sealing tape is used to close the top center seam as boxes are moved on the conveyor towards the case sealer drive belts to the taping head. The 3M AccuGlide Taping Head applies Scotch pressure-sensitive film box sealing tape at the leading end of the box, continuing along the center seam to the trailing end – forming a configuration called a "C" clip enclosure. The taping head cuts the tape as it is being applied and the box exits the case sealer after the seal has been made.
