Details
A high-performance flexible latex sealant designed to minimize sound transfer and prevent the spread of smoke. Designed to seal construction joints and through penetrations in non-fire-rated wall and floor assemblies. In addition, product acts as a draftstop to prevent unwanted air movement and provides a barrier against dust and other airborne particulates. Remains elastomeric (compression/extension capability of +/- 10%) and exhibits excellent adhesion to a full range of construction substrates. This product acts as an acoustic barrier by minimizing noise transfer (STC-Rating of 56 when tested in a STC 56-rated wall assembly), helps create a smoke seal, meets the intent of LEED® VOC environmental regulations, meets International Building Code (IBC) and other building code requirements. Typical applications include: bottom-of-wall, head-of-wall and wall-to-wall construction joints in non-fire rated construction (including smoke partitions and acoustical assemblies). Typical through penetrations include: metallic pipe, non-metallic pipe (excluding CPVC), insulated pipe, conduit, power and communication cables and combos in non-fire-rated construction (including smoke partitions and acoustical assemblies).
