High-Strength Bonds in Seconds A one-component, medium-setting liquid, 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ General Purpose Instant Adhesive EC100 is lower in viscosity than our other Scotch-Weld general purpose adhesives. It cures extremely quickly with just contact pressure and surface moisture. This adhesive provides thin bond lines and is useful for bonding to plastics, metals and rubbers. After curing, 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ General Purpose Instant Adhesive bonds are suitable for use in temperatures up to about 180°F. Cyanoacrylate adhesives tend to have lower flexibility, peel strength and impact resistance than other structural adhesives. They are generally used for applications such as gasket bonding and smaller assemblies. Recommended Applications Cyanoacrylate adhesives work best when applied sparingly.
